The Problem
Racism is pervasive throughout our leadership, systems, and structures, resulting in conditions that do not meet the needs of our Black and Latinx students - directly impacting their learning and liberation. Principals of color need targeted development and support to identify and interrupt racism in their personal leadership as well as in the practices and policies that impact student learning so they can create antiracist learning cultures where everyone thrives.
We create purposeful spaces for healing, reflection, and action.
We grow by being in inquiry, continually learning and unlearning – especially as it pertains to race and racism.
We inspire ourselves and others by working from joy and possibility.
We are honest, transparent, and authentic.
We collaborate from a place of mutual respect, accountability, and alignment; using data to drive our decisions.
We develop education leaders to identify and interrupt racism on three levels: their personal leadership, collective practices, and organizational policies.
The Lead Liberated team represents the leaders who participate in our programs. All coaches for the Antiracist Collective have professional experience as principals, giving them an informed perspective on the leadership required to transform a school’s culture.
